It was an equation with many unknown parameters.<br \/>The solution included a hike of more than 100 km.<br \/>We discovered an amazing region at the heart of Slovakia <strong>surrounded by the majestic mountains and deep forests.<\/strong><br \/>We discovered <strong>Poludnica<br \/><\/strong>, a mountain of the <strong>Low Tatras<\/strong>, seduces you for the first time when you reach its top. <strong>With its beauty.<br \/><\/strong> And for the second time when you run on it. <strong>With its wildness and inaccessibility.<br \/><\/strong> Its name is connected with the sun, and noon. <strong>The locals noticed that when the sun stood over its summit, it was noon.<\/strong><br \/><strong>This mountain is 1,548 m high<\/strong> and is surrounded by the <strong>I\u013eanovsk\u00e1 dolina<\/strong> valley from the west and <strong>J\u00e1nska dolina<\/strong> valley from the east.<br \/>It is this latter valley, that is one the <strong>oldest protected areas in Slovakia and one of the longest valleys in the Low Tatras.<br \/><\/strong> Here you can see many swallow holes, mineral springs, and caves. Here the Bystr\u00e1 stream wells forth.<br \/>It is exactly this <strong>rollicking Bystr\u00e1<\/strong>, which flows into <strong>the Bel\u00e1<\/strong> river in the Liptovsk\u00e1 kotlina basin. The wild Bel\u00e1, which each year changes its course, and where you can experience the <strong>best rafting<\/strong> of your life. <br \/>And here you can also find the <strong>Stani\u0161ovsk\u00e1 jasky\u0148a cave<\/strong>.<br \/>It is exactly this pure and virgin cave, which you will discover via headlamp.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The most beautiful mountains are those which we haven\u00b4t yet conquered, once said Boris Filan, a famous Slovak writer.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>We often cannot name beauty.<br \/><\/strong><strong>We feel the beauty. <br \/><\/strong>We can feel it in a wild and inaccessible forest.<br \/>We sense it in the chaos of the twisted roots.<br \/>And also in the symmetry of their leaves.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Poludnica or Lady Midday, was a mythic and demonic spirit, appeared as a wonderful femme fatale.<br \/><\/strong> Poludnica, the mountain, a symbol of the Liptov region, is beautiful in its imperfection.<\/p>\n<p>It is not as high and majestic as Gerlach, the highest Slovak mountain.<br \/>It is not as monumental as Kriv\u00e1\u0148, Ban\u00edkov, or Ve\u013ek\u00fd Rozsutec.<br \/><strong>But from here, you can admire the surrounding beauty.
